Our Pre-school and Toddler gardens were refurbished in 2022, with new grass laid, large sand pits built in both, and safe edging around the mud kitchens installed. Our gardens are a space for children to be physically active. They can climb the tree in the pre-school garden, get messy in the mud kitchen and build their imaginative play with their friends. We are a nature-loving nursery, and we go outside, come rain or shine. Alongside the gardens, one for each room, we have a Forest Garden. We can facilitate Forest School sessions here with a Forest School leader present, or Forest Fun sessions with our practitioners. The children have helped to build a pipe swing and a wooden log swing; they have a forest kitchen and an abundance of loose parts to explore. Our baby garden is a safe space for babies to begin to challenge their physical skills, with a low-level bridge and a small slide. Encouraging children to enjoy being outside and spending time in nature from a young age fosters a love and respect for nature as children grow older.
